We got the first images and news regarding the MCU’s installment of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen.

Yes, you heard it true, Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again is in production! I know we were teased with Charlie Cox back on the scene in She-Hulk’s show with his yellow suit, but as impressive as that was, we could use more Daredevil. I don’t know about you, but I need another hallway scene. There have been some reported photos of Charlie Cox back on set in New York City with his iconic red glasses. This could only mean that they started filming.

All evidence points us closer to seeing him battle it out on screen with our favorite Wilson Fisk, Vincent D’Onofrio. The set photos have not been too revealing, so we cannot accurately speculate. What we can speculate on is the source material! Daredevil Born Again, written by Frank Miller, was essentially the last season of the Netflix series, and the next big series in his lineup is Guardian Devil, written by Kevin Smith. It leaves this viewer wondering how they will go about this.
As stated, our two favorite Hell’s Kitchen arch-enemies are back on the screen, leading to more questions than answers. When we last saw Daredevil, he was dating She-Hulk in California. If we know anything about our boy Matthew is that he can’t stay in a relationship for long. How does that end? On the other hand, last we heard from Fisk, he may have been shot by Maya (Echo). How did that end?

Here is what we do know, though; this will be an eighteen-episode MCU take on The Man Without Fear. It’s not a direct sequel or hard reboot. It’s a soft reboot using the actors from the Netflix Daredevil series. Yes, that even means we get Jon Bernthal back as The Punisher. Unfortunately, we have two actors who have not been announced; Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), and it leaves us wondering what will occur with the characters for the MCU. A lot is happening during production, and we can speculate as it unfolds. No matter what, we here at The House of Nerd Show will be sitting eagerly in anticipation of the Daredevil: Born Again release in 2024.
