Scott Pilgrim vs. the World director Edgar Wright announces the return of the original cast in new Netflix anime series.
‘Scott Pilgrim’ fans rejoice! It’s been a long time coming but the iconic set of characters are finally set to return via a Netflix anime series. Edgar Wright, executive producer of the show, announced via a sizzle reel (which you can watch below), that the entire main cast is reuniting to voice their characters. And what a cast it is! Featuring an absolutely stacked lineup including: Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), and Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves) among others.

Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of the ‘Scott Pilgrim’ graphic novel series, is the co-writer and executive producer of the anime version along with BenDavid Grabinski. Set in Toronto, the graphic novels follow titular character Scott, a slacker and bass player. He falls in love with Ramona Flowers, but must defeat her seven evil exes before they can date.
Science Saru is the animation studio behind the new anime series. While Anamanaguchi, who composed music for the ‘Scott Pilgrim’ video game, is providing original songs.
When will this new Netflix series drop? Edgar Write teases that the release is “IMMENENT”. Well it certainly can’t come soon enough!
